ILOILO City – A construction worker was found dead in the school where he was working in Barangay Maite Pequeño, Lambunao, Iloilo yesterday.
The 35-year-old Dominador Galilea Jr. of Barangay Tampucao, Lambunao had multiple stab wounds. He also had a head injury.
The body was found around 8 a.m. by their construction engineer in the room where Galilea was sleeping, according to Police Major Rene Obregon, Lambunao police chief.
Galilea was last seen alive on Saturday night (July 13) in a drinking binge with co-workers Renato Catedrilla of Barangay Coto, Lambunao and Rommel Castor of Tapaz, Capiz.
A heated argument ensued, said Obregon.
Policemen arrested Catedrilla in a hot pursuit operation and was detained at the Lambunao police station.
He denied stabbing Galilea and pointed to Castor as the culprit.
As of this writing, however, Castor remained at large.
The knife used on Galilea was recovered from the room.
“We have witnesses. Catedrilla and Castor were the last persons seen with Galilea on Saturday night and they were arguing,” said Obregon./PN
