ILOILO City – In a hospital was where a construction worker landed after getting hit on Melliza Street, City Proper, a police report showed.
The 36-year-old Jose Vilarmino of Barangay Muelle Loney, City Proper sustained injuries on the face and body.
He was confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
Vilarmino was sleeping on a bench Tuesday when a drunken man struck him with a piece of wood, a police report showed.
Police were still trying to identify the attacker, who fled after the incident./PN
