BACOLOD City – A 30-year-old construction worker survived a murder attempt in Purok Tumpok, Barangay Taculing.
The victim, Ranel Tomias, was a resident of the said place.
Police Station 6 commander Police Captain Dax Santillian said Tomias was invited to a drinking spree by the suspect whose identity was withheld by the police pending the filing of charges.
Tomias, however, declined the offer, and this angered the suspect.
The suspect drew a .9mm pistol and fired it at the victim 14 times.
Tomias sustained three gunshot wounds, said Santillan.
The police are conducting a hot pursuit operation.
Tomias, meanwhile, was rushed to the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center and is now in stable condition./PN
