ILOILO City – The police of La Paz district has named three suspects in Wednesday’s killing of a construction worker in Barangay Burgos.
According to La Paz police chief Jose Val Ladublan, the three were all residents of Barangay Magdungao, Passi City.
Reynan, Niel and Jerome, all surnamed Palomar, were relatives. Initial investigation showed they had a heated argument with victim Jay dela Peña, 20, at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Ladublan said the foreman of the suspects and victim helped the police identify the three men.
Dela Peña, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, La Paz died of head injuries.
The hard object used to hit dela Peña on the head was a steel bar, said Ladublan.
The three suspects were already gone from their construction site when dela Peña’s body was discovered.
