ILOILO City – A conveyor mechanic of a soft drink company had been shot in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo yesterday.
The 36-year-old Jonel Ferrer of Barangay East Valencia, Buenavista, Guimaras was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro district here.
Ferrer was having coffee at a store at around 5:40 a.m. when the unidentified gunman approached him and fired at him three times, a police report stated.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds on the left arm.
The suspect fled on board a motorcycle after the shooting, stated the police report.
Police have yet to identify the suspect and determine the motive as of this writing./PN
