BACOLOD City — A former broadcaster who had been on the run since he was convicted for estafa was arrested at about 1 p.m. yesterday in Barangay Villamonte here.
Police here arrested Eric Tenerife of Doña Juliana, Barangay Taculing here.
Edgar Cadagat, a journalist who used to work with Tenerife when he was still active in the media, said the suspect was convicted over an illegal recruitment case nine years ago.
Tenerife had since been changing his address to elude arrest, police said.
During the May 2013 election, police records showed, he was allegedly hired by a candidate to host a block time radio program via telephone./PN
