ILOILO City – A convicted fugitive who was a bodyguard of a politician was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 21, on Cudilla Street, Poblacion Zone 2, Estancia, Iloilo.
Felomino De Asis Jr., a native of Quezon City, was detained at the Estancia police station.
The suspect was arrested around 12:40 p.m. through an arrest warrant for the crime of frustrated homicide in Quezon City.
Estancia police chief, Police Lieutenant Arniel Buraga, said the suspect fled to Estancia to hide. He worked as a bodyguard of a politician.
The suspect, meanwhile, admitted to the police that he was convicted for frustrated homicide.
“Sabi niya convicted na siya sa kaso niya. So we have to transfer him to Quezon City para malaman natin kung saan siya ikukulong,” Buraga added./PN
