ILOILO City – A police officer assigned at the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) was accused of slapping a young woman and mauling her brother at the La Paz Public Market.
Complainants Stephanie and Regor Buenconsejo, residents of Barangay Ingore, La Paz, identified the policeman as Police Office 3 Ronan Balmus.
They were attacked on Saturday around 6 a.m., according to the Buenconsejos.
She complained to the La Paz police station but the cops did not to anything, claimed Stephanie.
La Paz police chief Senior Inspector Rey Sumagaysay said Buenconsejo should file a formal complaint so that an investigation could be made.
The probe would be fair, he stressed.
Balmus could not be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
