ILOILO City – For allegedly assaulting a police officer, an 18-year-old resident of President Roxas, Capiz was arrested yesterday.
Mark Trendas was detained in the Roxas City police station lockup cell.
Police said Trendas pushed and twisted the right hand of Police Officer 3 Lorjoefre Dalo.
Around 12:10 a.m., Dalo and other officers were patrolling Barangay Poblacion, Roxas City when they found Trendas’ group mauling the 19-year-old Rico Espinosa of Barangay Lunoy, also of Roxas City.
Dalo intervened, but Trendas attacked and berated him, police said./PN
