BACOLOD City – Crossing the road turned fatal for a man in Sitio Moog, Barangay Vista Alegre, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
The 52-year-old resident Romeo Tabuga was killed when a motorcycle hit him around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday, a police report showed.
The driver of the motorcycle was Police Officer 1 Dale Grijaldo, 29, of Barangay Tabu, Ilog, the report further stated.
Grijaldo – a member of the Negros Occidental Police Mobile Force Company – was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle on his way home from Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental when the incident happened.
Tabuga was brought to the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City where attending physician Dr. Jackson Coloma pronounced him “dead on arrival” around 5:45 p.m. on the same day.
Grijaldo, on the other hand, was detained at the Ilog municipal police station lockup facility./PN
