BACOLOD City – The E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station apprehended four persons following the recovery of suspected shabu while they were conducting police patrol.
At about 3:58 a.m. on April 24, in Hacienda Tinihaban, Barangay San Jose, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental, the police team passing a secluded area saw Mitsubishi Adventure, color gray (without plate number ) beside the road with 4 (male) persons on board.
They were identified as Rino Emberga, 30, resident of Barangay Pasil, of the locality; Carl Eugene Rupico, 30; Edison Baril ,38; and Roger Balaguis, 50; all residents of Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police said they approached the four persons but they panicked and scrammed out of the vehicle.
When the search was conducted in the vehicle, police recovered plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
The four men were taken to the police station for custody, and charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared./PN
