BACOLOD City – Charged with murder, a businessman was arrested in Barangay Taculing, a police report showed.
He was the 49-year-old Antonio Chua Jr. of De La Rama Street, City Heights Subdivision in the village, the report further stated.
Chua was caught around 1:50 p.m. on Friday on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Eduardo Sayson of the Regional Trial Court Branch 54 issued in 2014.
Chua was accused of having a hand in killing a policeman that year.
Officers from Police Station 10 staged Chua’s arrest.
Chua was detained at the police station’s lockup facility.
The court did not recommend a bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
