NABAS, Aklan – Policemen arrested a man transporting timber in Barangay Libertad here.
Bryan Absta, 31, was a resident of Barangay Dumlog, Malay, Aklan.
Cops seized from his top-down vehicle 12 pieces of mahogany timber. They said Absta failed to present the requirement documents for the timber’s transport.
From what the police gathered from Absta, the timber would be used to build a house.
Absta was taken to the Nabas police station. He faces a charge for violation of Presidential Decree 705 (Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines)./PN
