Cops corner five high-value targets

ILOILO – The police arrested five high-value drug targets who were suspected members of the Balume drug group.
According to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, the Balume drug group operated in the 5th District.
The first to be arrested was Sony Boy Peñaflorida alias Eagle. He was apprehended with an unlicensed firearm during a checkpoint on March 18 in Sara town. He was incarcerated at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility in Barotac Viejo town.
On July 25, Reynaldo Gamboa of Barangay Antono Yusay, Sara was caught in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion of the town.
On the other hand, Marcliesar Sualog of Barangay Poblacion, Sara was arrsted in a buy-bust operation on Sept. 12.
The two others arrested were Glayza Kian Hie Jocson and Ariel Demun, both of Barangay Poblacion, Sara. They were collared on Aug. 5./PN
