Cops hunt Granada stabbing suspects

BACOLOD City – Police were still locating the suspects in stabbing a man at Providence Negros Subdivision in Barangay Granada.

The 34-year-old resident Arbert Arceo and a still unidentified person allegedly attacked the 30-year-old resident Robie John Bentic using a bladed weapon around 5:35 p.m. on Thursday, a police report showed.

Bentic sustained stab wounds on the head and the different parts of the body, police said.

He was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in the city where he was currently under treatment.

Arceo and the other suspect, on the other hand, fled after the stabbing.

Officers from Police Station 5 led by Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana launched a hot pursuit operation against the suspects.

They were still determining the motive in the stabbing./PN
