BACLOD City – Police arrested a theft suspect at Celine Homes Subdivision in Barangay Estefania.
The 21-year-old Richter Jann Salvo, 21, of Purok Fortune B of the said village was caught around 5 a.m. on Oct. 7, a police report showed.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of the Bacolod City Police Office, said the suspect ransacked the house of Gap Adrain Peñafiel, 34, of Celine Homes Subdivision around 9:45 a.m.
According to police investigators, Peñafiel entered the house through a window and left using the main door.
Salvo’s three companions also tried to open the vehicle parked outside the house, but the complainant was awakened because of their noise. The three managed to escape, the investigators added.
The suspects were able to take a wristwatch, cellular phone, fishing rod, car keys and a camera.
Pico said Salvo was arrested in a follow-up operation.
The three others were still at-large.
Police recovered from Salvo’s possession a pin gun loaded with live ammunition, a fishing rod, cellular phone, and wristwatch.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 4, facing charges./PN
