KALIBO, Aklan – Police arrested a high-value target and confiscated P347,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation on Mabulay Road, Capitol Site, Barangay Estancia, Kalibo town on September 19.

The 32-year-old Jaymark “Paul” Francisco was caught around 9:40 a.m. after he allegedly sold a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P7,000.

Officers of the Aklan Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Kalibo Municipal Police Station also recovered from Francisco during a body search a large plastic sachet of suspected shabu inside a parcel weighing approximately 50 grams, lighters and mobile phones.

PDEU chief Major Frenzy Andrade confirmed the involvement of Francisco in the peddling of illegal drugs.

The suspect, a resident of Rizal Street, Barangay Poblacion, Kalibo, was detained at the Kalibo MPS.

He was charged with the offense of illegal sale and possession of shabu under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Aklan Provincial Prosecutor’s Office./PN
