CORE Unit launched for cleaner, more disciplined Roxas City

ROXAS City – The city government created the City Ordinances and Regulations Enforcement (CORE) Unit to ensure and strengthen the implementation of local ordinances.

The unit will particularly lead the campaign for a wider and strict implementation of ordinances pertaining to discipline, cleanliness and orderliness in the city.

These specific ordinances are the Smoke-Free and Vape-Free Ordinance; Baybayon Ko, Limpyohan ko; Comprehensive Anti-Littering and Anti-Dumping Ordinance; and the Open Muffler Ordinance.

The CORE Unit is headed by City Environment and Natural Resources Office chief Ronald Amigo, while members include the Bantay Bayan, traffic management office, rescue rangers, Roxas City police, and officials of the city’s 47 barangays.

The recent launching of the CORE Unit was joined by the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Roxas City police chief Lieutenant Colonel Francisco Paguia, and City Legal Officer Atty. Antonio Bisnar, among others./PN
