BACOLOD City – A couple was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Eight sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P33,000 were recovered from residents 42-year-old Charito and 40-year-old Josue Mamon Jr., a police report showed.
Charito – a barangay health worker – and his husband Josue was nabbed after they allegedly sold suspected illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P500 around 5:55 p.m. on May 4.
The Mamons were detained in the Cadiz City police station’s custodial facility.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them./PN
