ILOILO City – Police have arrested a couple charged with grave coercion.
The 31-year-old Ryan Agupe and wife Rizeal, 35, were caught at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in their house in Barangay Bugarot, San Jose, Antique.
The court set the bail bond for their temporary liberty at P12,000 each.
The Agupes were released the following day after paying their bail bond.
Under Article 286 of the Revised Penal Code, the crime of grave coercion is imposed upon any person who, without any authority of law, shall, by means of violence, threats, or intimidation, prevent another from doing something not prohibited by law, or compel him to do something against his will, whether it be right or wrong./PN
