Couple yields 8 shabu sachets

ILOILO City – Two residents of Barangay Sulangan, Dumangas, Iloilo were arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Eight sachets of shabu were seized from live-in couple Anelee Molgado and Benfer Calis, a police report showed.

They sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover officer for P500 at 12:48 p.m. on Wednesday.

Seven more plastic packs of the same substance were seized from them, said the police.

Molgado and Calis were detained in the custodial facility of the Dumangas police station.

They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 – specifically for selling and possession of prohibited substance.

CRASH HURTS FAMILY OF 4

A family of four figured in a motorcycle crash in Barangay Santiago, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.

Beny Dizon, 32, wife Ma. Foebe, 33, son Vincent, 4, and daughter Lovely Joy, 5, sustained bruises.

The motorcycle they were riding collided into another motorcycle at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, a police report showed.

The Dizons – residents of Barangay General Luna, Barotac Viejo – were treated in the Barotac Viejo District Hospital. They were released thereafter./PN
