ILOILO City – Charged with violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, a man was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
Erwin Hempiso was a 41-year-old resident of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo, Iloilo City. Yesterday around 8 a.m., he was taken to the police station of Nueva Valencia.
Hempiso’s arrest warrant was issued by Judge Marie Yvette Go of the Regional Trial Court.
As of this writing, it was unclear of Hempiso was able to post bail that Judge Go set at P80,000./PN
