Meanwhile, of the total confirmed cases, 82.15 percent were asymptomatic, 13 percent were mild and 4.74 percent were severe.

In a recent interview, Dr. Marie Jocelyn Te of the DOH-6 said although the region’s cases are no longer that high, the public must continue observing health protocols and never be complacent.

“That’s a good sign but we have to strictly observe minimum health standards,” she said, such as wearing facemask and face shield, sanitizing hands through frequent handwashing or use of alcohol, maintaining safe physical distancing, and acting based on correct information. (With a report from PNA/PN)
