CPU vs Ateneo de Iloilo girl spikers in ILOPRISAA finals

ATENEO de Iloilo punched a ticket to the finals of the 2018 Iloilo PRISAA secondary girls volleyball after a 22-25, 25-15, 25-21 win over University of San Agustin on Saturday in Iloilo City.

Led by Elisha Apostol, Keiara Almirante, Christine Ladigohon, Robielle Silla, Mary Joan Irish Tenorio, Betina Buaron, and Fheb Rapadas, the Blue Dragons recovered from a set down to take San Agustin out.

Ateneo was advancing to the championship round against Central Philippine University on Monday.

The Golden Lions, which finished the tournament on top, entered the final round with a twice-to-beat advantage after defeating the Blue Dragons last Thursday.

In secondary boys, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University also entered the finals after a 25-14, 25-17 straight set triumph over Iloilo Doctors’ College.

John B. will also face the CPU team on the finals. The boy Golden Lions also have a twice-to-beat incentive in the championship round.

Meanwhile CPU captured the elementary girls title after defeating Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus 25-20, 25-11 in the finals.

In tertiary women, CPU outlasted Western Institute of Technology 25-16, 25-17, 19-25, 25-16 while San Agustin prevailed over Doctors’ 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

In tertiary men, San Agustin walloped John B. 25-16, 26-28, 25-18, 25-20 while Doctors’ swept WIT 25-19, 25-18, 25-16./PN
