ILOILO City – An early morning crash in Leganes, Iloilo killed a 24-year-old motorcycle rider.
Ronel Pastera of Barangay Dapitan, Pototan town died of head injuries, a police report showed.
Driving a motorcycle, Pastera was negotiating the highway in Barangay Cagamutan Norte, Leganes when the crash happened at 4 a.m. Thursday.
Pastera was about to turn left when a succeeding Joey Boy taxi hit his vehicle.
He was thrown off the motorcycle and his head hit the concrete road, the police report stated.
Taxi driver Robert Loraña, 41, of Barangay Yugot, Mina town was arrested and detained at the Leganes police station.
