MANILA – Negrense volleybelle Bernadeth Pons is still in adjustment period following her return to indoor volleyball action by way of Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League.
The Talisay City, Negros Occidental-native Pons shared that she was always looking back on her previous indoor volleyball games before plunging to the Cool Smashers practices.
“Naninibago pa ako sa indoor,” Pons said in an interview with One Sports’ The Game.
The last indoor volleyball stint of Pons was with the Petron Blaze Spikers in the defunct Philippine Superliga four years ago.
Pons, along with Choco Mucho Flying Titans recruit Cherry Ann Rondina, has stepped away from indoor volleyball action the past four years to turn their focus on beach volleyball.
During their time away from indoor volleyball, Pons and Rondina have participated in various beach volleyball tournaments and even represented the country thrice in Southeast Asian Games.
Pons, however, said that she was excited for the upcoming PVL action and assured the Cool Smashers fans that she can return to her fighting form.
