ILOILO City – A Criminology graduate reportedly suffering from a nervous breakdown was found dead at a water reservoir in Barangay Malayu-an, Ajuy, Iloilo yesterday.
The 24-year-old Niel Hervas of Barangay Adcadarao, Ajuy may have drowned or was murdered, according to the municipal police station.
A fisherman spotted Hervas’ body at around 7:30 a.m.
Hervas had two wounds on the forehead.
“We could not yet make conclusions until the autopsy results are out,” said Police Officer 1 Aron Animas, Ajuy police investigator.
The last time Hervas was seen alive was on Tuesday night, Aug. 14, at Creek Side KTV bar in Ajuy. He was binge drinking with five college classmates.
From what the police so far gathered, Hervas rushed out of the bar after one of his classmates had a quarrel with a companion and never came back.
On Wednesday, Hervas’ father reported to the municipal police station and barangay officials that his son failed to return home.
Hervas was a graduate of Criminology at Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College, Ajuy campus./PN
