ILOILO – An alleged supplier of suspected shabu to several barangays in the town of

Pavia was arrested on Wednesday, June 14.

Suspect Novy James Javellana, 25, was a resident of Barangay Sinikway, Lapuz, Iloilo City.

He sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P30,000 around 9:50 p.m. in Barangay Mali-ao, Pavia.

A total of 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 20 grams and a market value of P136,000 were recovered.

Javellana was able to flee from last week’s antidrug operation of the City Drug Enforcement Unit in a hotel in Iloilo City, according to Police Major Dadjie Delima, chief of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS).

“Dati na ini siya naga-engage diri sa Pavia…tungod ang mga kaupdanan niya nga nadakpan sa hotel kag wala siya madala, nabudlayan kita sa mga attemps ta sa iya bago naton siya natigayon madakpan,” said Delima.

The suspect was in the custody of Pavia MPS and will face charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
