ILOILO City – A vendor of poultry products lost around P10,000 cash to a thief, a police report showed.
Police have yet to identify a suspect in the incident at the town public market in in Barangay Zone V, Santa Barbara, Iloilo.
The culprit was a customer, the vendor – 48-year-old Karen Farrol of Arroyo Street, Barangay Zone I, Santa Barbara – told the police.
Farrol described the man as more or less 50 years old, between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and wearing a black T-shirt.
The man bought some of her products at around 7:40 a.m. on Thursday and suddenly grabbed her black bag, which contained the cash and important documents, she said.
Farrol said the thief then fled on board a white L300 van toward Iloilo City. She told the police the vehicle’s plate number was FGU-692.
