MANILA – “They were having the time of their lives. They are millennials so it is expected for them to party harder.”
This was how the counsel of the respondents in the controversial death of flight stewardess Christine Angelica Dacera described what happened at a Makati City hotel on New Year’s Day.
“It was a New Year’s Eve party so they were just having fun,” Atty. Mike Santiago said in a press conference on Thursday night. “We were provided with the copies of the CCTVs. Basically, we have seen the whole thing.”
Respondents Rommel Galido, Clark Rapinan, JP Dela Cerna, and Valentine Rosales also vehemently denied that they have done something wrong to Dacera.
Inalagaan namin siya,” Rapinan said. “Vomit siya ng vomit sa bathtub. Sinubukan namin siya dalhin sa kama but she insisted on staying in the tub.”
Rosales, who was seen in a CCTV footage being kissed by Dacera, said the bruises on Dacera’s leg could be due to the wheelchair she was riding and not because of abuse.
“Nung dumating ‘yung medic, ‘yung wheelchair na kinuha nila, walang leg assist. Walang makabuhat kay Tin paupo sa chair. Nakikita ko naiipit ‘yung legs niya sa wheelchair,” Rosales said.
“Imposibleng may rape kasi gay po kami. “So the homicide and rape cases the police filed against us were just absurd.”/PN
