IT’S not only in drama teleseryes because, in real life, the lead stars of GMA Network’s afternoon primetime series “Dahil sa Pag-ibig’ are also willing to do anything for the one they love – even things they never knew they could do.
Pancho Magno, for his part, said he could be selfish, though in a positive way, because of love.
“Andaming pwedeng magawa sa love, minsan nagiging selfish ka which is part of it… Hindi naman sya negative kasi minsan parang naging selfish ka in a positive way, wag lang too much na parang pag heart-broken ka parang ikaw sira na rin… dahil sa pag-ibig nalilimutan mo sarili mo,” said Pancho.
Winwyn Marquez, meanwhile, said that she’ll drop anything for her family especially for her siblings.
“I can drop anything for my siblings na parang kung ano yung sa akin, sayo. Kung may kailangan ka, ibibigay ko sa yo. Kung may problema, hindi mo sya iiwang sa ere,” said Wynwin.
“Minsan kahit mali kailangan andun ka pa rin para ipaalala na siguro mali. Pero naka suporta ka pa rin,” she added.
She also underscored that no matter what conflict a person has with his or her family, love will always prevail.
“Akala ko hindi ko kayang gawin kasi simpre minsan pag galit ka sa pamilya, minsan, may mga conflict ang mag kakapatid pero at the end of the day, pamilya pa rin,” Wynwin expressed.
Sanya Lopez also echoed and shared the same sentiments with Winwyn.
“Gagawin mo talaga lahat para sa pag-ibig. Alam mo minsan kahit magkaaway kami ng kapatid wala akong pakialam maprotektahan mo lang. Kumbaga, for the sake of love, kahit ako na ang mawalan wag lang siya,” she shared.
Benjamin Alves, on the other hand, wants to give genuine happiness for the one he loves even that means they are together anymore.
“For love – happiness ng tao. Whatever that means for them, yung minamahal mo. If it means na hindi ka kasama or hindi ka kapiling, pipiliin mo yon dahil mahal mo yung tao. So, genuine happiness for some else kahit hindi ikaw yung makatuloyan niya,” Alves expressed.
The four were in Iloilo on June 12 and treated their Ilonggo fans to a Kapuso Mall Show at the Festive Walk Mall courtesy of GMA Regional TV.
“Dahil sa Pag-ibig,” which premiered last May 20 on GMA Afternoon Prime, talks about how a wife would be willing to endure everything for the sake of her husband.
In the story, Eldon (Benjamin) works as an OFW in Saudi Arabia and later on commits a grave crime that lands him in jail. Back home, his wife Mariel (Sanya) is desperate to earn the “blood money” in exchange for her husband’s freedom. Portia (Winwyn), the wife of Elson’s employer, is bent on putting him behind bars. While Mariel is seeking for blood money, former lover Gary (Pancho) offers an indecent proposal that shakes her fidelity to Eldon.
