ILOILO City – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) – Iloilo Provincial Office has a newly designated head who officially assumed the position recently as the OIC – Provincial Agrarian Reform Program officer (PARPO) II and concurrent assistant regional director (ARD) Region 6.
Ronald Gareza, Ph.D., CESO VI will take the place of former OIC – PARPO II Sally Paulin who was designated back as the Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Development & Sustainability Program by virtue of Special Order No. 303, Series of 2018 issued by DAR secretary, Atty. John R. Castriciones on July 28, 2018.
A simple turn over ceremony was held during the DAR management committee meeting. It was also witnessed by regional director Eugene Follante.
Initially, Gareza will review the workload of the Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers (MARPOs) to ensure that the target of DAR – Iloilo will be accomplished as mandated. He likewise plan to strengthen the Legal Division inorder to enhance and fastrack the legal services especially the resolution of Land Tenure Improvement (LTI) related cases which will further boast the delivery of land acquisition and distribution targets and accomplishment. He will also look into the inventory of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) and the monitoring of the various programs and projects already implemented through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP)./PN
