BORACAY – President Rodrigo Duterte is invited to distribute registered Emancipation Patents (EPs) and Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) upon his visit in this world-famous Island on March 12, according to Department of Agrarian Reform acting provincial reform officer II Ma. Teresa Valencia.
The president is expected to distribute 2, 795.8351 hectares of new lands around the region to some 3,273 beneficiaries.
Around 700 people, many of whom are farmers, coming from different provinces of this region are urged to attend.
Aside from Duterte, Department of Agrarian Reform secretary John Castriones is also expected to grace the event, along with the provincial and local government of Western Visayas.
Of the total amount of the said lands, 31 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in this island will receive two CLOAs covering around 1.9858 hectares; 11 ARBs in Aklan province will get 11 CLOAs/EP’s for 14.544 hectares, 14 ARB’s in Antique province will be distributed with 19 CLOAs/EPs for 16.0728 hectares; 223 ARB’s in Capiz province will be given 315 CLOAs/EPs for a land ranging to 269.8541 hectares; 29 ARBs in Guimaras province will receive 46 CLOAs/EPs for 42.0581 hectares; 56 ARBs in Iloilo province will be awarded 68 CLOAs/EPs for 32.9820 hectares; 864 ARB’s in Negros Occidental 1 will get 1,458 CLOAS/EPs for 1,727.3081 hectares; and finally, 770 ARBs in Negros Occidental 2 will have 1,353 CLOAs/EPs covering 2,795.8351 hectares./PN
