BACOLOD City – Two men died in separate accidents in Dauin, Negros Oriental on Thursday, a police report showed.
They were the 42-year-old construction worker Hipolito Alejado of the Phil South Construction and furniture maker Christopher Ragudo, 32.
According to the Dauin police, Alejado died after being hit by a metal fender of a backhoe operated by the 20-year-old Edwin Garcia Jr. around 10 a.m.
An hour later, Ragudo – who was driving a motorcycle on the national highway in Barangay Masaplod Sur, Dauin – crashed against a pickup.
Ragudo fell on the concrete road and was overran by the pickup that the 31-year-old Joven Villa drove.
Villa is a prison guard of the Negros Oriental District and Rehabilitation Center in Dumaguete City, police said.
