ANTIQUE – The lifeless body of a senior citizen was found inside a septic tank in Sitio Wayang, Barangay Takas, Valderrama town in this province around 9:35 a.m. on Sunday, August 4.
Police identified the victim as Gualberto Ari, 62, and a resident of the barangay’s Barangay Ubos.
According to the investigation of the Valderrama Municipal Police Station (MPS), the remains were found after the victim’s nephew reported to the barangay officials that his uncle has been missing since Saturday, August 3.
Ari’s cousin also told the police that before the incident the former borrowed his digging tool and went to the septic tank.
The victim’s body was retrieved by personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Valderrama and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
Authorities said the victim accidentally fell into the septic tank./PN
