KALIBO, Aklan – Eva Collantes Adan – the woman who was found dead naked in Malinao, Aklan last Dec. 29 – was not raped, autopsy results showed.
Adan was beaten to death, the results added, noting her severe head injuries.
“There is no proof or evidence she was raped,” said medico-legal officer Chief Inspector Joe Martin Fuentes.
Fuentes added: “The wounding instrument – a long tube-like hard object – resulted to fractures of the skull and injuries to the brain.”
The 41-year-old Adan also sustained abrasions on the right eye and her lower extremities, indicating that she was dragged by the suspect.
“Posibleng sa secondary crime scene nakita ang biktima dahil may mga abrasions sa kanyang lower extremities at buttocks,” Fuentes said.
No defensive wounds were found on the body of the victim.
Adan, a native of Bicol who is staying in Barangay Dangcalan, Malinao with her live-in partner, was reported missing by her family members last week.
She was last seen on Dec. 28 while she was on her way to Barangay Poblacion for work.
Adan was found by village watchmen in a grassy area in the town the following day, wearing no clothes.
Officers from the Malinao police station were looking into “persons of interest” in Adan’s death. (With a report from Aklan Forum Journal/PN)
