BACOLOD City – Two twin sisters were found dead in a deep well in Barangay 10, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Two-year-old residents Sara and Kara Mendoza were believed to have fallen into the well and drowned, police said.
Their bodies were found at around 2 p.m. Wednesday floating in the well a few meters away from the house of their grandmother.
Their parents, Gilda and Arnold, left them with their grandmother. Gilda went to a nearby river to wash clothes while Arnold went to work as a sugarcane cutter, said the police.
From what the investigators have gathered, the twins went to the deep well unnoticed by their grandmother./PN
