BACOLOD City – The woman fished out of the river in Barangay Talaptap, La Castellana, Negros Occidental has been identified.
She was 17-year-old Cristina Serilo of Barangay Nato, La Castellana, municipal police chief Senior Inspector Jerry Nacion said, citing the family.
Talaptap officials told the police they found her lifeless body floating near the riverbank around 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Nacion, the victim’s family said Serilo was suffering from epilepsy.
Serilo may have had an epilepsy attack and then slipped and fell into the river, the family told the police.
The body will be subjected to autopsy./PN
