The month of May followed with most weddings with 366, or 14.8 percent, and January with 277, or 11.2 percent.

July, meanwhile, placed 5th with 195, or 7.9 percent.
On the other hand, least favored months for marriage were March and September, with 102 (4.1 percent) and 130 (5.2 percent) weddings, respectively.
Of the total marriages that took place last year in Aklan, the highest registration was recorded in Kalibo with 587, or 24 percent; followed by Malay with 206, or 8 percent; and Ibajay with 195, or 8 percent.
At least 53 percent of couples tied the knot through civil rites, while 41 percent said their “I do’s” in Roman Catholic ceremonies.
