CAPIZ – A body in an advanced state of decomposition was found in Barangay Tacayan, Tapaz on Monday night, Sept. 18.
The Tapaz police have yet to identify the remains as of this writing.
Police Major Jhon Almarino Bonior, chief of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station, said a barangay tanod found the body floating in the river around 6 p.m.
The person was wearing a pair of worn-out shorts and no clothes, Bonior added.
Meanwhile, authorities have reached out to the family of Barangay Aglupacan captain Wennie Bluma Dimas to identify the body.
The 29-year-old continues to be missing after failing to return home on Sept. 13.
His identification card and other important documents were recovered along the Panay River in Barangay Garcia, Tapaz./PN
