ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 1 is conducting a hot pursuit operation against two men who attempted to shoot a man on Rizal Street, Barangay Kahirupan here around 8:58 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5.
Ronald M. Javier, 29, of Barangay San Juan, Molo, Iloilo City, was in a welding shop when a motorcycle pulled up with two men on board, said Police Captain Peter John Ramos, officer-in-charge of the ICPS 1.
“Ang back rider ang nagpalupok, mga three attempts, pero ang bullet wala nagwa sa muzzle, then ang suspects nagdali-dali palayo. May gina sundan na kita nga persons of interest,” said Ramos.
He added: “Ginatan-aw naton ang anggulo nga job-related. At the same time, indi man naton manigar nga basi may mga kontra man si Javier.”
The ICPS 1 is also investigating whether the incident is drug-related./PN
