JUST hours after attending the wedding of his daughter Claudia Barretto, Dennis Padilla aired his dismay for being supposedly treated as a “visitor” and not the father of the bride at the event.
Claudia tied the knot with her longtime non-showbiz boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo, on Tuesday, April 8. Lorenzo is the son of business tycoon Martin Ignacio Lorenzo and the brother of actress Erich Gonzales’ husband, Mateo Lorenzo.
In a now-deleted Instagram post on Tuesday as well, Padilla showed a yellow paper written with the statement: “Grabe kayo! Nabudol niyo [ako]! Father of the bride naging visitor! Galing niyo!”
He also added the remark, “Sagad sa buto.”
While he did not name anyone in his post, Padilla responded to a netizen’s comment and confirmed that he was referring to Claudia’s wedding. He also stated that he was not part of the program.
Padilla further made his frustration known by leaving a comment on his daughter Julia’s most recent Instagram post.
“Kapal nyo,” he wrote, but later deleted it.
Julia did not immediately respond to this.
It can be noted as well that Padilla seemed to have removed from his Instagram page his earlier post about his reunion with Julia, Claudia and Leon.
The reconnection between the celebrity father and his children came amid their tainted relationship that has been publicized by the actor. Julia, Claudia and Leon are Padilla’s kids with his former wife Marjorie Barretto.
