DENR-Capiz supports frontliners

THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources through its Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) in Capiz province has recently provided the much needed help for the frontliners assigned in six checkpoint areas in Roxas City.

With the help of its personnel, PENRO Capiz donated a portion of their salaries to be able to share some assistance to the frontliners in the province.

“Checkpoint frontliners are also heroes in their own ways. They keep the community and the province protected from possible massive local transmission of the corona virus disease. As such, they deserve the help they get from organizations like us in the government,” said Capiz PENR Officer Ruel L. De Los Reyes.

PENRO De Los Reyes along with his senior staff have collected a total amount  of P40,200 which were used to purchased the following: eight sacks rice with 50 kg/sack, eight boxes cup noodles with 24 pcs/box, 16 boxes sky flakes, eight packs safeguard with six pcs/pack, 24 boxes doy pack juice with 10 pcs/box, eight gallons Zonrox bleach with four liters/gallon, eight boxes 3-in-1 coffee with 72 pcs twin packs/box, eight boxes nature spring with 40 bottles (350ml)/box, 16 pcs chicken lechon, and 120 pcs Jollibee yumburgers.

“I am proud of this initiative done by the DENR employees in the province of Capiz. We are all facing an enormous invisible enemy but there they are, helping others in the best ways they can,” said DENR 6 regional executive director Francisco E. Milla, Jr.

DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu had called on all DENR employees to abide by the rules and guidance of the Department of Health and COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.(DENR 6/PN)
