BACOLOD City – A 24-year-old man committed suicide in Purok 4, Barangay Asia, Hinobaan, Negros Occidental.
Around 11 p.m. on Nov. 2, Nick Sasi Torres was found hanging from the ceiling of their kitchen.
According to sister Lani Torres Francisco who discovered the suicide, Torres used a rope and wire around his neck.
Torres had been depressed in recent weeks due to personal problems, said Francisco without elaborating.
In Ilog town, a 17-year-old lad stabbed his abdomen, police said.
The minor was rushed by his family to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 4.
The mother told the police her son was drunk and had an argument with other members of the family./PN
