KALIBO, Aklan – To bring passport processing closer to the public, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in coordination with the local government of Kalibo, will again bring its “Passport on Wheels” project here in July.

Passport applications for adults and minors will be processed on July 24 at the Aklan Catholic College (ACC) covered gym in Barangay Andagao.

Interested applicants for new and renewal of passports must secure their slots during the pre-registration with complete requirements on July 4 to 6 at the ACC covered gym.

Due to limited slots, the “Passport on Wheels” is exclusive only to Kalibonhon residents and will be catered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Non-compliance with the requirements will result in the rejection of the application, especially for those with missing and/or discrepant entries in their documents and undeclared lost ePassports.

Application forms will be available during the pre-registration date or can be accessed through this link: https://drive.google.com/…/1Rp89hUqVuE8KOElfUt07VCBAUne

Kalibonhons may contact the Public Employment Service Office at (036) 262-0559 for inquiries.

Last year, Sangguniang Bayan member Ketchie Luces filed Resolution No. 2022-0025, urging the DFA regional office to conduct another “Passport on Wheels” in Kalibo.

“It will be a big help to Kalibonhons who want to apply for or renew their Philippine passports without going to Iloilo City,” the councilor said.

DFA served more than 1,800 Kalibonhons from May 30 to June 1, 2022 through its “Passport on Wheels” project. (With a report from PESO-Kalibo)/PN
