PANAY NEWS initially came out as a weekly newspaper. The first weekly issue actually came out in the last week of March but was dated April 7, 1981, and carried the masthead “Panay News Today.”
The “Today” was eventually deleted.
From its humble beginnings, Panay News has spread its wings and is conquering more skies. The once weekly newspaper 40 years ago has increased its frequency of publication to daily, its circulation has increased, and its readership in print and digital format has multiplied many, many times.
