Diesel prices seen to go up, gasoline no price change

PUMP prices of petroleum products are seen to have mixed movements next week, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said Saturday.

In its fuel price forecast for May 4 to 10 trading week, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel may increase by P0.30 to P0.40 per liter.

“Gasoline will have no price change,” it said.

Oil companies usually announce pump price adjustments every Monday, to be implemented on the next day.

On April 27, companies implemented the price increase in domestic oil products. Gasoline has increased by P0.45 per liter and diesel by P0.35 per liter.

Data from the Department of Energy showed gasoline prices in Metro Manila range from P40.70 to P55.05 per liter while diesel prices range between P33.85 and P41.31 per liter.

Year-to-date adjustments to stand at total net increase of P7.60 per liter for gasoline and P5.70 per liter for diesel.(GMA News)
