ILOILO City – One can now take a peek of Iloilo City, its tourism products, destinations of interest, gastronomy, culture and arts, bike culture, and many more through a digital flipbook.
The Digital Tourism Flipbook, the newest innovation of an Ilonggo creator, is aimed at promoting further the City of Love.
According to City Tourism and Development Office (CTDO) head Junel Divinagracia, through the digital flipbook, visitors or those planning to visit this southern city will have better information where to go, stay, and dine and more.
It also has a brief history of Iloilo City and some basic facts about the city. This online reading material serves its purpose in introducing the city virtually through the use of interactive animation, playable videos, QR codes, and other web-based features.
It will serve as guide for visitors when in Iloilo City.
“It will be very convenient for them kay ang mga brochure kon kis-a madula pa,” said Divinagracia.
To use the flipbook, one just have to scan the QR code that will lead them to Digital Tourism Flipbook link.
“The digital flipbook can be updated anytime kon may new developments sa city kag kon may gusto kami idugang,” she added.
The city’s official digital flipbook, created by Gloria Moralidad, was a product of the “Digital Tourism Flipbook Contest” of the CTDO in September last year.
The CTDO and its program partner Globe believed that this digital platform will create new wonderful and immersive experiences for people who wanted to know more about Iloilo City.
Other winners of the contest were Andrea Guanco and Sheila Mae Gomez as second and third placers, respectively./PN
