MANILA – Digital transformation has helped mitigate the impact of rising prices, according to an official of Microsoft Philippines.
Christian Lim, chief operating officer of Microsoft in the country, said e-commerce has helped keep prices from rising further as goods purchased online tend to be cheaper because of lower logistical costs compared to similar goods bought from physical stores.
“If you take a look at the pricing margins, it’s actually better to buy online today,” Lim said in an interview with ANC’s Market Edge.
Lim added that a study they commissioned projects that the digital transformation of industries will add 0.8 percentage points to the growth of the economy by 2021. (ABS-CBN News)
