DILG cites Roxas City program vs COVID-19

ROXAS City – The Department of Interior and Local Government – National Barangay Operations Office (DILG-NBOO) commended a city government initiative against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The initiative was called Search for CURES (Search for COVID-19 Unified Response and Effective Strategies in Barangays).

“We commend the exemplary leadership of the present administration, dedication and hard work of the city government’s personnel, and the discipline and cooperation of the communities,” stated DILG-NBOO acting director Dennis Villaseñor in a letter to Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

As of March 16, Roxas City had only two active cases of COVID-19.

Villaseñor urged the city government to sustain its gains in the fight against COVID-19.

Said Dadivas: “Ang pagkilala nga ini sa kadalag-an sang aton programa nangin posibli bangud sa ginpakita nga suporta, disiplina kag kooperasyon sang pumoluyo, labi sa tanan sa dedikasyon kag kahugod sa pagtrabaho sang tanan nga health workers kag frontliners.”/PN
